WCBA is committed to setting and upholding legal and ethical standards in our community and to supporting legal professionals who practice here. We’re a vibrant legal community that is 700 strong and growing, and we consistently provide our members an abundance of benefits. Each member brings something unique to the mix, and ultimately, we’re stronger than the sum of our parts.
We offer career-enhancing resources coupled with standout networking opportunities and limitless benefits. We encourage you – whether you are a practicing attorney, just out of law school, a judge, or a paralegal – to set your sights on success through membership.
All attorneys who practice law or live in Washtenaw County are encouraged to join the WCBA. We also welcome law students and paralegals, who either live, study, or work in the county as associate members.
The membership application process for the WCBA is as simple as filling out the online application and paying online. Applications can also be printed and mailed with payment. The membership types include the following:
There is also a $5 opt-in membership charge if you’re interested in joining any of our legal practice sections. Our application process includes the opportunity to donate to important community services either as a one-time gift or as an annually recurring donation.
Renewing your WCBA membership couldn’t be easier. To begin, you can choose automatic renewal during the membership application process. These renewals are automatically processed in the second week of June each year.
Another option is the member renewal form, which can be submitted and paid for online or through the mail. You can also automatically renew your annual membership from this form.
As a member of the WCBA, you can get involved with any of our 12 committees and numerous scheduled events that interest you. This is a perk of membership that can be especially advantageous. Members tend to find that pulling together in this way is personally rewarding and an excellent opportunity to give back.
