Thomas P. Heed

Thomas Heed has a B.S.E.E. from Boston University and a J.D., Summa cum Laude, from the John Marshall Law School and has been licensed as an attorney in Illinois since 1998, in Michigan since 2004, and with the United States Patent and Trademark Office since 2004. He worked for a Fortune 500, Harman International, until 2008. During that time, he led their automotive global intellectual property (patents, trademarks and copyrights), engineering, technical planning and programs, and quality departments as a Vice President. Mr. Heed has started and owned several businesses and is named inventor or co-inventor on 7 U.S. patents and 3 foreign patents. Mr. Heed has been in private practice as an attorney since 2009, where he practices small business and intellectual property law. He is admitted in federal court in the Eastern District of Michigan and has been admitted, pro hac vice, as counsel or special counsel in the Southern District of New York and the Western District of Michigan.
