Michael J. Steinberg is a professor from practice at the University of Michigan Law School and the founding director of the law school’s Civil Rights Litigation Initiative. Before joining the Michigan Law faculty, he served for 22 years as the legal director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan.
