Carlo J. Martina

Carlo’s practice is dedicated to family law, where in addition to using traditional litigation methods, he uses collaborative as well as early stage mediation to resolve family law disputes. He’s been chair of the State Bar of Michigan Family Law Council, involved in leadership positions in various county bar associations, and is currently an executive board member of the Collaborative Practice Institute of Michigan. He testified before the Michigan Supreme Court on behalf of the State Bar Family Law Section regarding child support, evidence and ethics; written a number of articles for the Michigan Family Law Journal; wrote Chapter 1 for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education’s 2 volume set Michigan Family Law; helps teach ICLE’s Custody and Parenting Time series and has given numerous seminar presentations on behalf of the State Bar Family Law Council and ICLE on various areas of family law.
