The goal of my practice is to empower people to make the best choices about how to care for themselves during their life and care for their loved ones after their death. Both times before I deployed overseas, my wife and I took advantage of the free legal services the Army provided to prepare our own Wills and Powers of Attorney. Looking back, I can see that we just did what we were told and did not really understand that there were much better ways to set my wife and children up for success if I did not make it home again, or worse still, if she were to have been incapacitated or died while I was away. I want to help my clients avoid falling into this same trap so they are ready for whatever life throws at them.

I left active duty in 2014 to attend law school full-time at the University of Michigan. After graduating, I joined Miller, Canfield as an estate planning attorney. I am married to a preschool teacher and have three young children who attend Ann Arbor public schools.
