Planting Native Perennial Plants and mulching planting beds

LOCATION: Pauline Community Center

1500 Pauline, Ann Arbor, MI 48103

The Washtenaw County Bar Association Public Service/Pro Bono Committee is again sponsoring Avalon Housing’s Gardening, aimed at beautifying some of the Avalon properties by planting native perennial plants and mulching garden beds to provide food and shelter for important pollinators.

Avalon Housing provides permanent affordable and supportive rental housing for Washtenaw County’s lowest income households, with a priority for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and who have a mental or physical disability. With the housing, Avalon also works to build communities, an important way to help people achieve self-sufficiency. It reduces isolation, fosters peer support and inspires a collective sense of hope.

We are recruiting volunteers. Judges, magistrates, attorneys, staff and family members are all invited to participate.

PLEASE RSVP BELOW BY MAY 24th.
