The leader of the Washtenaw County Prosecutor's new Economic Justice Unit, Todd Pierce-Ryan, will lead an interactive discussion introducing the need for economic justice. Economic justice involves a range of issues that directly impact vulnerable populations, such as wage-theft, labor trafficking, scams, financial abuse, and consumer protection. This unique Unit helps bring together the worlds of employment, civil rights, and criminal laws, with the potential to collaborate with civil practice lawyers to promote justice.
